Oxymorons

EAn oxymoron is two words put together that mean the opposite. For example crash-landing or pretty-ugly. For a tic-tac-toe activity we had to go on the website http://www.vocabulary.co.il . Here are three photos of my try's at connect them.

Digging deeper

In writing we have been learning to use complex sentences. We looked at a picture about digging deeper. We had to make our own picture like it. Showing from simple sentence to complex. Here is mine.

Catch me if you can

Description: Every week we learn about skills and movement that will help us play sports. This is called CMIYC. CMIYC stands for Catch Me If You Can. This term’s focus has been around defense. We made a video showing some of the goals we have been practicing. We also have a success criteria about what we should be doing. I have highlighted what I should work on PINK and what I have done well YELLOW in each category.

Intercepting
Body angled to see player and ball
Anticipate pass and player movemement
Body Movement
Weight on balls of feet
Feet shoulder width apart
Knees flexed
Concentration and eyes on ball, head and eyes up
Push hard off outside foot and g forwards to attack pass
Quick small feet, stay on balls of feet
Arms within confines of body
Take feet to ball
Land with a SBP.
Restrictive Marking
Meet player as they start towards the ball/where they want to go
stay close to the attacking player
Head and eyes up, arms close to body to avoid obstruction/contact
Angle body so attacking player is ‘pushed’ away from where he/she wants to go

Evaluation: I think that I am doing well at concentrating on the ball. I could work on keeping my 
arms within the confines of my body because I tend to stretch my arms out and that's obstruction.

Feedback/Feedforward:I think you do a good job at defending the person and the ball. I think you could work on arms within confines of body. Taylor

Discovery time

Today we did discovery time. Discovery time is when you have a choice of activity and you can chose one to do. I chose to do song lyrics with Bella, Taylor, Rosalind and Olivia F. We showed angency because we changed the song until everyone was pleased with it. In the end we started to record it but it didn't record properly so we will finish it next time.

Turtle writing

WALT: Use complex sentences.

In class we are learning to use complex sentences. A complex sentences is two sentences, anindependent sentence and a dependent sentence joined together. An independent sentenceis a sentence that can stand on its own, a dependent sentence is a sentence that can't stand on it's own and needs another sentence to make sense. We watched a video about sea turtles and facts about them. We had to do writing with the facts we learnt and change the facts into complex sentences. Here is mine.
